The Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) produced a clinical performance to comfortably defeat the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by seven wickets in Match 59 of the TATA IPL 2026. Opting to bowl first, LSG restricted CSK to 187/5, despite a brilliant 71 from youngster Kartik Sharma and a late cameo from Shivam Dube (32*). Left-arm pacer Akash Singh starred with the ball for the hosts, dismantling the CSK top order with an impressive spell of 3/26. In response, LSG made a mockery of the target by chasing it down in just 16.4 overs, finishing at 188/3. The chase was propelled by a spectacular 135-run opening stand between Josh Inglis and Mitchell Marsh, with Marsh hammering a blistering 90 off just 38 balls to completely break the back of the run chase.
